Pharmacological action
The combined antimicrobic preparation for treatment and prophylaxes of infectious diseases-inflammatory of an oral cavity. Action of a preparation is caused by properties of the components entering into its structure.
Metronidazolum is active concerning the anaerobic bacteria causing diseases: Porphyromonas gingivalis, Prevotella intermedia, Prevotella denticola, Fusobacterium fusiformis, Wolinella recta, Eikenella corrodens, Borrelia vincenti, Bacteroides melaninogenicus, Selenomonas spp.
It is active concerning vegetative forms of Gram-negative and Gram-positive microorganisms, and also yeast, dermatophytes and lipophilic viruses.
Indications
Infectious diseases-inflammatory parodontosis and a mucosa of an oral cavity:
– Acute and chronic ulitis;
– Acute and chronic parodontosis;
– Youthful parodontit;
– The parodontosis complicated by an inflammation;
– Aphthous stomatitis;
– Pulpitis;
– Cheilitis;
– Inflammation of a mucosa of an oral cavity at wearing prostheses;
– Postextracting alveolitis;
– Periodontitis, periodontal abscess (in structure of the combined therapy).
Regimen of dosage
The preparation is intended only for application in a stomatologic practice.
To adults and children 6 years are more senior at a ulitis put gel on area of gums 2 times, to wash off gel it is not recommended. Duration of course of treatment averages 7-10 days. After application of gel it is necessary to abstain from drink and reception of nutrition during 30 minutes
Side effect
Probably: a headache, allergic reactions (a dermal eruption, an itch, a urticaria).
At local application of preparation Metrogyl Denta development of systemic by-effects is improbable.
Special indicatings
Application of gel Metrogyl Denta does not replace hygienic cleaning of a teeth.
Medicinal interaction
At local application in the recommended doses of systemic interaction of gel Metrogyl Denta with other medical products it is not taped.
Conditions and periods of storage
The preparation should be stored in a place inaccessible to children at temperature not above 25 C. The Period of validity - 2 years.
